RGM Post #3

http://theweek.com/article/index/220370/racist-navajo-attire-and-7-other-urban-outfitters-controversies

I don't really have a lot to say about this article. It kind of speaks for itself. Urban Outfitters is becoming more and more...distasteful in their clothing and corporate decisions, especially in how they are defending their choices (or lack of defense). The Navajo controversy is just one more in a long line of pieces that are truly distasteful. I think its even more of a crime that they are using words, or ideas, that are clearly copyrighted. I feel that they could benefit from a more..ethical..legal department (or perhaps having a legal department at all).

At the bottom of the article, they have the Urban Outfitters game "Ghettopoly." I hadn't heard about that controversy until reading this, but I was astounded that they could even think that okay to market. I don't even have words to describe how utterly dumbfounded I am that they could even THINK to sell something that so completely degrades an entire group of people like that.
