OVER 9000!!!

Petty Complaint One: I remember when passwords for sites used to be "min 5 letters" and didn't require caps, numbers, symbols, anything. They took two seconds to type and no time at all to think up or remember. What happened people? I just had to type my password in three times because I fail at hitting the shift key and the right number keys while my keyboard is hidden in the tray.

Petty Complaint Two: Facebook chat needs to stick to its own window and not take over your entire system. If I am using the chat, or perchance somebody sends me a message while typing in any other window/tab/program, my cursor automatically leaves whatever I am typing and causes me to back up a whole page, delete what I am typing, or some other fiasco. This is probably just Chace's way of getting back at me for making his computer freeze by sending him many tiny responses in FB chat rather than just one sentence. gg Chace, well played.

Enough with sad little complaints that I am so fond of. I love to complain, and I love to complain about how much I complain. Apologies for that in advance.

Today was absolutely gorgeous. I think it got up to 70, maybe 75? I didn't check the weather site, but it felt that warm and the concrete got warm in the sun. My dogs and I spent a good hour sitting on my patio doing absolute squat just enjoying the weather. Then I proceded to brush them, which Monty thoroughly enjoyed and Kipper (surprisingly) tried to escape so she could go back into the kitchen to watch the shinies from things she sees and I evidently don't (or don't pay attention to) I do find myself however while I am in class, or biking, or in my car catching my eye to little light spurts I had never noticed before. Thanks for that.

I did absolutely nothing today. I was strangely really tired last night and went to bed around 1:30am and my alarm did not even register this morning whenever it went off and I ended up waking up around 10 with my phone on the floor on the opposite side of my bed from where I left it. Proceded to take my dogs out and play wow.

That's really all I've done all day. Oh, and shower. Woot to that. for that? Now I'm contemplating mac'n cheese for dinner, but its not really sounding good. I might make a run to Sonic and get a breakfast burrito instead. My diet is terrible. I have no idea why I'm not 300 lbs.

Ghost Hunter's has a new episode tonight, definitely suggest you watch it. Scares the living hell out of me and I can be alone for a couple days afterwards(this is not a word, but I dont know the proper word) and I make my dogs go into every room before I do and pull all the shower curtains back and keep radios/tvs on all the time, but still. I find it entertaining.

I hope you enjoyed my completely pointless day and therefore completely pointless blog. Stay tuned for the WoW portion.

If you don't want to read this, no worries, it helps me to understand myself if I talk/type through it, so this is mainly for my own benefit.

A few weeks ago I won a pair of 232 boots, a week agoish I became friendly with Ashen Verdict for the 251 ring, and yesterday I won a 245 neck. You'd think this to be all great things (as would I) but suddenly my dps went from being 5k+ in raids, and 4k+ heroic boss/ 3k+ overall to 3k in raids and 2k in heroics. WHAT HAPPENED?! Apparently with those changes I lost about 80 haste (oh crap) and gained some crit that I don't care about, but the gear is better, so I should keep it right? RIGHT! So moving forward, I re-gemmed to add 80 haste, while losing a LOT of AP. Like, 160 AP. I also happened to notice, I wasn't expertise capped (!!) while doing this. Exp cap is..140(26). I had 54(15)... heh. So should I really have gemmed for exp? That would have taken up six gem slots (!!?) So I stalked some people in Dal and Org and tried to figure out what other Enh Shammies had. I found one exp capped, and one with 68 exp, and one with 9. So since I'm way over spell hit capped, I'm not going to worry about that for now.

The re-gemming +80 haste cause my raid dps to go back up to 4.7 against Koralon and 4.8-5.5 in ToC10(with a fail group), I haven't done heroics yet due to the fact I felt like healing after my brain exploded from trying to figure out caps and gems. I believe however I am going to leave my gear like it is and add AP + Haste gems one at a time to replace pure AP and see how that works out. Good thing I know a JCer and that you can buy gems with emblems. I'd be so poor at this point, lol.

  1. Don't bother regemming for exp. right now, since the changes that will eventually hit will nullify almost everything you're working toward now, but cut back a LOT on your hit if you can. And yeah, your haste is crucial, especially since time is precious (what with all the moving around and shit people have to do).

Thankfully, I'm JC and Alchemy, and my little bro (in exchange for using my computer) is mining and herbing, so he mats up for me, I gem him head to toe, and I keep the remains! Win?

    Always.

  2. I'm not re-gemming for exp., decided against that after seeing a couple other ICC-geared enh shamans in good guilds with like, 68 or 9 exp.

Just going up haste one gem at a time because for end game shamans there's a huge debate over whether you should use gem for haste, ap, or a combo. Half of the ICC geared shamans are solely haste and half are solely AP (at least on my server). Its basically a debate over faster, softer, or harder, slower (that's what she said...) game. And it depends on your play style.

    BUT.

That being said, I've added two more haste gems, completed half of ICC (!!!) and my dps has gone up to doing over 5k. So. Win.

And I got a new dagger for healing (251!!) I'm so excited!
