If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair

I understand I said I would try and update this often, basically meaning everyday or every other day. So I apologize for not keeping up with that, but this weekend I was ridiculously busy and hardly even saw a computer.

Friday night I went to Colleen's for a WoW and movie night. All my raids fell through - I was very upset, but that's the hard part of pugging. Restarts are tomorrow, so I'll just start over again. DPS isn't up to par still, but I'm beginning to think T9 and T10 can't be mixed very well because they weigh so differently in different stats.

My cousin who lived in West Hollywood decided to drive across country back to NYC and stopped by our house on the way.

So Saturday we drove down to Dallas to show him the city because he loves big cities. We ate at a little Italian place called Campisi's on Mockingbird Ln. Best. Italian. Food. Ever. Let's just say they home-make their sauces, pasta, and I'm pretty sure they ground their own beef/sausage. I had Manicotti, my parents had Lasagna, and my cousin had a trio platter that had three different dishes on it. There was hardly anything left. It was ridiculously good.

After that we decided just to drive around because we were too full to walk. So we drove all around the towers and looked at the SMU campus and the surrounding neighborhood. Then we drove to the West End and looked at all the restaurants and stuff. After that we drove down 75 all the way to George Bush and went home. Adam and I drove down to my apartment so I could show him UNT and a little of Denton and let him meet my dogs. Then we drove back and everyone was still full, so we just watched Rawhide for awhile and then went to Angelina's down by NCTC and had a snack-dinner. We then went home and played a Thousand (cards) for a few hours before I had to go home.

The next day Adam and I drove down to the stockyards in Ft. Worth because he really wanted to see a 'real' cowboy. It was very refreshing and entertaining to show someone around who had never seen a cowboy before, much less a cow (when there were black Angus cows he kept saying "Look! Buffalo!") I forget how much of a novelty it is for some people who have never been to Texas before.

We parked at Billy Bobs. I told him it was a dance club and he was like, "Disco?" We then walked around on the cobbled streets and just looked at everything there was. We ended up down by the actual Stockyards and there were the wranglers for the cattle drive which to Adam were real cowboys so we went over to talk to them and I got to pet the horses.

They then had the little cattle drive down Main Street and Adam was really excited about all the longhorns.

After that we ate at Risque's BBQ, and it was amazingly good. I ate the biggest Chicken Fried Chicken I've ever had along with mashed potatoes, beans, toast and a huge Dr. Pepper. Definitely suggest anybody go there who wants good BBQ. After we ate, we drove down to downtown Ft. Worth. I still love that place. It is absolutely beautiful and cozy. If I had to choose any city in Texas to live in, it would probably by Ft. Worth. We drove around for a little bit and then went home and watched the Rawhide and the Oscars before I left.

Today I did absolutely nothing. It poured and thundered and lightninged and so I just sat inside enjoying it through the window. I need to get on writing my cover letter sometime soon. Joy.

That's really all. Sorry I don't have more pictures, but I forgot my camera when we went to Dallas and didn't have an opportunity to take pictures of downtown Ft. Worth.
