This morning I was woken rudely by an insistent knock on the door which I promptly ignored. It was followed by a ringing of the door bell, more knocking. Deciding it was most likely the guy who changes air filters or something, I grudgingly got up and went to see who it was. Opening the door, I found a "first class priority" fed ex envelop wedged under my door and no Fed Ex truck, or employee in sight. It was from the survey people, pamphlets on why its a good idea, and how confidential it was, etc. Great.
Now, three weeks ago I received a letter in the mail saying I should participate in a health survey being taken by the government. Being as unpatriotic as I could be, I didn't reply and threw the letter under my TV stand. Last week, a lady showed up at my door soliciting me to participate in this survey. I told her no, and shut the door in her face. And then this morning, that Fed Ex envelope? Seriously? They want us to participate THAT badly?
Of course I called my dad to see if he'd ever heard of anything like that (because my dad knows everything in the world) and he said he never had, and that if they come a'knockin' again, to see if I could convince a business card or something out of them and call the police because its probably a scam. Plus we have a no soliciting sign on our apartment.
Brian brought me Panera for lunch. It was amazing, as usual. Broccoli cheese soup and a bacon turkey bravo. NOMS. That was probably the highlight of my day, I tried to play wow, but nothing was going on / patch day / couldn't get into a raid. So I went downstairs to get a drink and ended up laying/sleeping outside with my dogs in the sunshine for about an hour.
It was wonderful. It is so nice outside.
Still need to write my cover letter. It's like ripping a band-aid off. Don't want to do it. I think I might go back outside.
Also, no good layouts for this site =\ Expect it to change a lot because I don't like this one, or the last one. Boo.
